This is a handmade classical loop in loop chain, the design goes way back to Roman times and earlier. Starting with wire, each link is cut, formed and fused, and then carefully woven into this 18 inch heavy chain. This method is only possible by hand and it produces an open elegant structure.
The chain is made using 1mm diameter Argentium silver wire, this is a bright, strong and hypoallergenic silver, and does not tarnish as quickly as Sterling silver, It is secured with a large lobster clasp. All materials are sourced ethically in the UK.
It takes a number of hours to make an 18 inch chain like this.
