Hand forged silver ring

Own a unique and individual ring, made with hammer and anvil forging. This is a stunning, bold and shiny piece that sets you apart from the crowd. Its deep rectangular texture shines in the light and you can be confident that there is nothing out there like it.

It is made from the modern Argentium silver, which is hypo allergenic shinier and tarnishes less easily than Sterling silver. It has a higher pure silver content too. 

To forge out the metal, I take an ingot of Argentium silver and heat it to red hot then with tongs, anvil hit it repeatedly to flatten it out and create a strip of metal. I take this and file and sand it to make it even and comfortable. I then apply a sharp hammer to it to create the rectanglar texture before forming into a ring shaped on a mandrel and soldering it together. After a final sand and polish, it is complete.

It takes some hours to do this, and the result it a unique and precious item.
